TRUTH TIME: YES, BREASTFEEDING IS NATURAL BUT IT’S NOT ALWAYS INSTINCTIVE. HEAR US NOW, BELIEVE US LATER: PREPARING AHEAD OF TIME WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEARTACHE (AND NIPPLE PAIN!)
In this one-evening class, Stephanie, our Certified Lactation Counselor will help familiarize you with the natural instincts you and your baby already have and cover:
- The lowdown on milk production
- How to position & latch your baby onto the breast, painlessly (yes, it’s true!)
- Reading your baby’s cues & feeding according to you and your baby’s unique rhythm
- How to know your baby is eating well
- Preventing engorgement, soreness and other potential problems (and what to do if it happens)
- An eye to the future: how/when to use a pump, storing expressed milk and weaning
THE SCOOP:
- 2nd Thursday evenings, 7:00-9:00pm
- Group class: $75 per couple

- Class fee includes bound, full-color notebook for handy reference when you get home + ongoing phone & email support postpartum with Stephanie, our CLC (you won’t find that offered in any other class, we guarantee!)
