Who We Are
Where we Started and Where We’re Going
Launched on Mother’s Day 2016 by Austin newborn and maternity photographer, Jennifer Najvar, Austin Expecting is the result of what began as a simple goal — to build and foster relationships throughout the local birth community. Noticing the giant void in Austin for an exhaustive online resource focused specifically on providing information to Austin’s expecting mothers, we began to catalogue the local professionals who make up the thriving and diverse birth community in Austin.
The city of Austin enjoys a rich community of birth professionals who work with expecting mothers and new parents to provide a truly diverse array of services ranging from childbirth education classes to placenta encapsulation. As an expectant Austin mother, the options available to you for all of these services are countless.
How many different childbirth education classes are available to me? Where can I deliver my child? Where can I find community support for the many questions that I have about my delivery or newborn?
Austin Expecting seeks to provide answers by building the most exhaustive directory of local service providers available, giving you a single go-to platform for all your pregnancy needs.
